Portal Pro is a multi-faceted solution to handle many aspects of a commercial business. Originally written for the Commercial Door and Hardware industry, Portal Pro can be used by any business to generate estimates, sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, track inventory and generate reports.
For the door and hardware industry you have the ability to create professional door and hardware schedules. And included is a frame detailing program that not only creates a PDF drawing of custom frames but will price out the material and labor to build it. Portal Pro also includes the ability to import tag numbers, hardware set numbers and other fields from the PDF file that contains the door schedule with a click of a button. Saving time on entering projects of 50, 100 or 1000 door openings. Portal Pro is also enhanced for multi unit projects which makes it more user friendly for those type of projects than most programs currently available.
Portal Pro is available on a monthly subscription. Some programs can require $10,000.00 – $50,000.00 or more depending on the size of your company just to get the software installed followed by yearly update fees. With Portal Pro you can leave that cash in the business where it is needed most and simply pay a monthly subscription for each PC with no contract. Cancel at any time with 30 days notice with no further obligations however, we are confident you will continue using our program. You can have an unlimited number of users on each PC if you like. Portal Pro uses SQL Server for the database in lieu of Microsoft Access like some programs which means it can accommodate one to thousands of users at one time. So Portal Pro can grow with your business regardless of size. The database is also located in the cloud using Microsoft SQL Azure services. This allows you to access your data anywhere in the world as long as you have an Internet connection. And it eliminates the need for a database administrator on site. Microsoft provides constant backups of your data through SQL Azure services. This gives you the best of both worlds. The power of a desktop app with the mobile flexibility of a web based app through the Internet. Portal Pro has been using cloud services for many years. Other programs are just now learning to leverage this feature.
Portal Pro also integrates with QuickBooks desktop apps. The online version of QuickBooks support may come at a later date. Invoices and purchase orders are created in Portal Pro and then with a click of a button they are exported directly into your QuickBooks company file. QuickBooks is then used to track payments from customers or payments out to vendors and all other accounting needs. There is also simple accounting provided in Portal Pro if you do not have or do not wish to use QuickBooks. All of this included at no additional charge.
